Interaction of a Shock Wave with an Axisymmetric Structure, 2018

High-speed video; 330,000 fps; shock Mach number = 1.23

University of New South Wale
Canberra, Australian Capital Territories, Australia

This video recorded a time-resolved Mach-Zehnder interferometry visualization of a shock wave interacting with a complex structure. Three different tests were run. In the first test, monochrome interferometry with a laser light source was used. For the second and third tests, polychrome interferometry with different offset settings of the interferometer was used.
