This animation describes the science behind tattoos. While many people have tattoos, it is not commonly known how the body reacts to and retains tattoo ink. This animation was created to share that information in a fun, informative manner. The style of the piece was inspired by traditional American tattoos, also known as Sailor Jerry tattoos, which gained popularity during the World War II era. Thus, the entire animation takes on the look and feel of a film from that time period.
