This picture shares a longitudinal section through a 41 Hz bass guitar string. This steel-based string consists of a central wire with another steel wire wound closely around it. A short section of the guitar string was embedded in light curing resin and then grounded and diamond polished to match the middle of the longitudinal string. In material science, these sections are used to identify and show the inner composition of a given subject.
