Image structure obtained by single crystal X-Ray diffraction; digital processing
Rochester Institute of Technology, Imaging and Photographic Technology Department, Rochester, New York, United States
This is a 3-d lenticular image of a specific DNA complex of the 65-residue, N-terminal fragment of the yeast transcriptional activator, gal4. The image is made up of ten interlaced equiangular views of the complex structure covering 100 degrees. Individual images were rendered from the crystallographic data using ViewerLite software from Accelrys. The sequence of images was processed into the final interlaced composite using Vista Flip! software from Durst Dice America, LLC.
Viewing instructions for printed version only: cover the printed image with the provided plastic lenticular screen. Align the screen with the image so that one image border is a continuous tone - either all black or all white.
