Clematis recta ‘Purpurea’ is a non-climbing variety of Clematis that produces white flowers and grows to approximately three feet tall. The long, furry projection of the plant’s seed is visible under low magnification. These structures enable the seed to be carried by the wind for new plant germination—a dispersal method called anemochory.
